If learning English in the United States is your goal, you have come to the right place! For over 40 years, ILI has taught English to thousands of students from all around the world. We typically have around 270 students from over 50 countries. ILI's offers classes in two locations: Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. and Gaithersburg in Maryland. All of ILI’s programs are accredited.

At Dupont Circle we offer 12 levels, ranging from beginner to university level, plus 8-week TOEFL, GRE and GMAT Preparation courses. Each class includes instruction in the following areas: Listening, speaking, grammar, reading and writing. Most levels are four weeks long and the class sizes range from 5 to 15 students. We have official start dates every four weeks, but students may start any week. We are authorized to issue the I-20 form, which allows international students to apply for the F-1, student visa. We also offer a Semi-Intensive program in the evening or on Saturdays. During your stay at ILI, we will take you to many of the famous attractions that Washington, DC has to offer. Some of our favorite student activities include going to one of the many great Smithsonian museums, the Capitol, the Pentagon, the National Zoo and Rock Creek Park for sports and picnics. All of these attractions are free and easily accessed from our school.
