So much more than a language school, Marlborough College School of English and Culture provides world class learning experiences for teenagers aged 13 to 17 years.

The tutors are all qualified specialists in English language tuition and are passionate about teaching and giving their students a culturally enriching experience. The courses are unique to Marlborough and the School guarantees that you will not be repeating lessons that you have seen anywhere else.

Students can choose from two morning academic courses:

  • Learn English is a communicative and interactive course focussed on language acquisition and empowering students to use their new language skills confidently in real world settings.
  • Open Minds is aimed at high or native level English speakers. It covers diverse thematic topics including cosmology, anthropology and ethics which are designed to challenge an incredibly wide range of academic skills, including critical-thinking, collaboration, research and analysis, project management, independent learning and creativity.

After English tuition in the morning, students choose from over twenty afternoon activity courses that range from Drama and Performance Skills to Fashion Marketing, from Martial Arts to Photography, from Rock School to Basketball and so much more besides. The afternoon courses provide an excellent opportunity to integrate with teenage Marlborough College Summer School customers, 80% of whom are native English speakers.

There is also a huge array of evening and weekend activities, including coasteering and tree running and trips to London and Stonehenge that are designed to enrich, inspire and provide insight into British culture and way of life.
